General
Plastics
A Brief History
General Plastics
was established in 1950 as one of the first commercial applicators
of Teflon coatings in the world. We currently have two locations.
In Bloomfield, N.J. we occupy 50,000 square feet of a company
owned facility where we have been located since 1960. Our second
location is in Highland City, Florida, just east of Tampa where
we occupy 20,000 square feet of a leased facility. We have been
here since 1992.
Capabilities
The application
of high performance fluoropolymer coatings requires the utilization
of specialized equipment. Since most of the resins we process
must be cured at relatively high temperatures, our oven capabilities
become the limiting factor when large parts or quantities are
considered. General Plastics has some of the largest ovens in
the fluoropolymer coatings industry. We can process parts as
large as 12' X 12' X 40' long weighing as much as 20 tons. In
addition, we have automated coating equipment that enables us
to process many parts at a time. |
